A Singapore staycation — 10 beautiful boutique hotels

JUNE 2020

A successful staycation can be summed up in 3 words: activities, amenities and absolute (relaxation).

And, when it comes to ideal staycation locations, the island nation of Singapore ticks every box.

A country small in size compared to its Southeast Asian neighbors, its luxury hotel scene more than makes up for it.

The ideal setting for a stress-free staycation, these 10 hotels will make you forget about ever wanting to travel abroad.

Strictly for the luxury lovers

1. The Fullerton Bay Hotel

If tourism accolades and consistent rave reviews are on your hotel checklist, The Fullerton Bay Hotel is for you.

Sleek, glamorous and achingly stylish, the hotel’s waterfront location is just one of its selling points. The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore sits in the Central Business District and Arts and Cultural Precinct close to several attractions.

Marina Bay Sands hotel and shopping center is close by, as is the Promontory, one of Singapore’s best scenic points.

There are 100 rooms and suites, complete with 360-degree views of Marina Bay or of the iconic Singapore skyline.

Head to the rooftop pool for an even better, and unfiltered, city view. Swim, lounge or relax, it’s the ideal spot for a chilled-out staycation, made even better with a signature cocktail.

Spa time

Who else is in dire need of some serious pampering right now? The hotel’s Fullerton Spa is a tropical oasis, and is probably where I’d spend the majority of my Singapore staycation.

With treatments such as the Asian Heritage Signature package and the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience, you’ll be in good hands.

Families are also welcome here, with family-friendly facilities and daily ice cream passes for the children.

The stamp of clean approval — Singapore staycation

To allay any concerns that you may have regarding cleanliness and hygiene, you can rest your head easy here. The Fullerton Bay Hotel carries the coveted SG Clean quality mark.

This certificate, awarded by the Singapore government, recognizes organizations that have committed to upkeeping good sanitation and hygiene practices.

Sarangs come with an indoor and outdoor plunge pool, while the Luxe Sarang also comes with a private garden.

All of the rooms at Villa Samadhi feature custom-designed furniture, and a king-size bed. You can also expect all the mod cons, including complimentary WiFi and Bluetooth speakers.

The hotel’s a great base for escaping the noise of the urban jungle and zoning out. Its wellness facilities, including a spa and mineral pools, will assist in making your stay a relaxing one.

Where space meets Singapore

There are 2 landscaped swimming pools on site, both of which are filled with a special kind of water.

The mineral water has been treated with the same system that NASA uses to provide its astronauts with drinking water.

Using this system gets rids of the smell, as well as any health problems that arise from swimming in chlorine.
