10 warm places to visit in February in USA

JANUARY 2021
Winter, for me, is typically a time of hibernation. Staying warm indoors and surrounding myself with cozy blankets and comfort food is my number one M.O.
And, as much as I enjoy Christmas and the wintry weather that comes with it, by February I’m ready for a change.
With Christmas long behind us, and spring a month or two away, a winter sun vacation is a good option.
Plenty of choices— warm places to visit in February in USA
When it comes to warm places to visit in February, you can do no wrong in the US.
This mighty nation is blessed with an abundance of cities and coastal towns where winter sunshine is the norm. If you’re in urgent need of some Vitamin D (and sea), these places will hit the right spot.
From Florida and Hawaii to southern California, here are 10 warm places to visit within the US in February.
1. Miami, Florida
This vibrant city in southern Florida needs no introduction. With average high temperatures of 78°F / 26°C in February, Miami consistently tops the US’ list for its warm weather.
Blessed by bountiful beaches and a year-round summer vibe, booking a winter getaway to Miami is always a good idea.
While Miami Beach is where most visitors flock to, there are other beachy contenders worthy of a second look. Crandon Park has a 2-mile stretch of sandy beach, plus walking trails and a picnic area.
For a crowd-free experience, Sunny Isles Beach is a good bet. Clean waters and a peaceful setting, it’s as good as its name suggests.

Choices on where to stay in Miami are seemingly endless. To narrow it down, I’ve chosen 2 options: 1 mid-range and 1 luxury hotel.
An Italian-style villa located 1 block from Bal Harbor Beach, Sun Harbour Boutique Hotel is an affordable choice for Miami. Comfortable rooms, and a pool on site, the hotel’s also within close distance to the nearby boutique shops.
Overlooking the ocean, 1 Hotel South Beach epitomizes everything you expect from a hotel in Miami. The 4-star hotel boasts 4 swimming pools, a spa and wellness center. Restaurants and the best nightlife in South Beach is just 5 minutes from the property by car.

I had been to Miami, Oahu, Puerto Rico, and San Diego and I liked the weather there. Better than the summer in India…
The weather in all these states are perfect!
This is a compact list of all the beaches and each one is better than the other. I would like to visit Hawaii some time, heard so much about its balmy beaches. And all those water activities make it a worth visit trip.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I also would like to be on the beach now
Lots of great suggestions in this post! Last February we had enjoyed a mini-vacation in Marco Island, Florida after visiting Miami and it was definitely a great time to visit the region – the weather was perfect for enjoying the beach and it wasn’t that crowded either. I missed visiting Sarasota during that trip and would definitely want to include it in our itinerary for next time.
Thank you so much! Florida really is blessed with great weather. I’m really in need of some sunshine right now!
This is a great list of warm places to visit in the USA. It makes me want to travel so much! Thanks for sharing.
Fingers crossed it can happen again this year 🙂
I think Florida may be the place to go It’s been really chilly here in San Diego. I’ve never been to Guam but just watched Operation Christmas Drop so it’s now on my list.
Perfect! Florida has great temperatures all year round 🙂
