If the sound of driving around the Amalfi Coast doesn't sound appealing the local buses offer another option.

Sidewalks on the main road are pretty non-existent. Stay close to the side and beware of traffic.

eat elsewhere

If possible, leave the popular towns and explore the neighboring smaller towns. They're less busy and you can eat very well for less.
