Every year on Valentine’s Day, I approach my post box knowing there will be a card waiting for me.
The fact that it’s usually from my mother is a minute detail.
These days, Valentine’s Day is a typically quiet affair. There’s the occasional dinner out with my husband, or a girl’s night at a Galentine’s party.
With many great spas in London, I decided to check out some couples massage London packages. While some may consider it weird to get a couples massage, I disagree. It's a relaxing way to unwind with one another in a serene spa ambience.
What's more, by booking a couples massage, you'll be turning Valentine's Day into a treat for two.
Best couples massage in London
1. Thai Square Spa
Thai Square Spa is about a 3-minute walk from Trafalgar Square. The spa changed venue from its Covent Garden location to its current larger building. Its manager, and the rest of the team, are nothing but helpful and ready to make your visit a memorable one.
The establishment's exactly what you’d expect: calm, dim lighting and mood music softy playing in the background. It may sound obvious, but don't forget to bring your swimwear.
The Sen Space is where you can unwind and let off steam, and sweat, in the steam and sauna room. An ideal sized Jacuzzi instantly erases the stresses of the day.
Thai Square Spa also has its own beauty products called the iMantara range. Certain products are available in store and online.
If you enjoy well-being therapies from the East, you may be keen on trying the Filipino hilot massage.
Luxury spa experience in London's West End
I tried the Ritual Massage — a personalized treatment using oils blended from flower and fruit extracts. Combining the oils with oriental massage techniques, my therapist, Paulo, did a first-class job of making me feel relaxed.
Couples packages range from 2.5 hours to the ultimate experience of 5 hours. At the time of writing, the spa offer a variety of packages, including 'The Couple Indulgence', 'Couples Divine Giveaway' and 'Thai Square Royal Couple'.
The last package also combines treatments with dinner at the nearby Thai Square restaurant.
Ultimately, Thai Square Spa offers a luxury experience for couples looking for a spot of pampering in London’s West End.

2. Shangri-La The Shard, London
Head to one of London’s most iconic buildings to enjoy the views and some well-deserved pampering at its luxury spa.
The Shangri La Hotel The Shard, London occupies floors 34 to 52 of the Shard. Western Europe’s tallest building, the architectural gem was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano.
Famous London landmarks are a short distance away, such as Borough Market and the Tate Modern.

A second spa option
Shangri-La The Shard, London has a second spa option that’s catered to day guests. With a Sky Pass, you get access to the Sky Pool, sauna and gym between 11am and 2pm. Robes, towels and lockers are provided.
The Sky Pass also includes a £50 (€59.32/$67.82) allowance for lunch at TĪNG restaurant.

3. Wellness by COMO Shambhala at London COMO Metropolitan
If you’re looking for a touch of sophisticated glamour this Valentine’s day, look no further than COMO Metropolitan, London.
Based in the upscale area of Mayfair on Old Park Lane, Wellness by COMO Shambhala offers an intimate couples massage workshop.
The private class teaches you the techniques, both chair-based and massage bed, to practice at home. Shambhala is a Sanskrit term meaning a place of peace/tranquility/happiness, so you can expect nothing but good vibes here.

Located on London’s Southbank is one of the most unique riverside hotels in London.

But, as is the purpose of this post, I’m here to tell you about its luxury spa.
Simply called Agua, the spa focuses on the wellbeing as well as spirituality of its clients. A multi-sensory sanctuary, Agua has the spa facilities you’d expect along with personalized treatments and an original selection of skincare.

A spa package made for 2, Agua’s Signature Couples Package is perfect for a romantic occasion or a special treat.
The package includes a side-by-side advanced bodyworks massage using the spa’s own Hedgerow brand. During the treatment, sip on a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne and a bowl of strawberries and cream (ooh la la).
Choose between a 60- or a 90-minute treatment. Prices differ from the weekday (Monday to Thursday) and the weekend (Friday to Sunday).
Once it’s over
Once your treatment's over, Sea Containers has not one, but 3, on-site venues to tempt you with. Lyaness serves up delicious bespoke and classic cocktails, while dining at 12thKnot means enjoying panoramic views of the London skyline.
Its last dining venue, Sea Containers Restaurant, is all about fine dining and sharing platters.

6. St. Pancras Spa, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London
St Pancras Spa is situated in the historic St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London next to St. Pancras Station.
First opened in 1876, renovation work began on the hotel in 2005 before its grand re-opening in 2011.
If you enjoy Gothic Revival architectural design, you'll love St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London.
The renovation restored many of the hotel’s original features, such as the high-Victorian Gothic Grand Staircase from 1901.
Pampering in a historical setting
The spa highlights features of the hotel’s Victorian past with its great brick archways and floor-to-ceiling windows. It's located in the original underground steam kitchens.
St Pancras Spa is luxury personified. The spa has 6 rooms in total, which includes a couple’s suite with king-size heated beds and a butler service for every guest. Its range of spa packages will turn Valentine’s Day, and any other day, into something special.
Many of St Pancras Spa's packages center around the theme of travel. Using selected products from Aromatherapy Associates and Cinq Mondes, 'Journeys' are specially curated packages inspired by various destinations.
'To Indonesia' consists of a papaya radiance scrub, a full body massage and a Ritual of the Five Flowers facial. For a more traditional 'journey', 'To and English Garden' uses therapies and scents that invoke memories of an English summer's day.

The Rena Spa we visited was at Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge. Facilities here include a 25m swimming pool, a steam and sauna room and a spa pool.
Offering a wide range of treatments from facial therapies to massage packages, there's something for everyone.
Signature treatments
Rena Spa have an impressive list of treatments to choose from, all designed to help you and your companion feel relaxed.
These include a 50-minute Divine Body Massage, the Ultimate Face and Body Experience and the signature Fleur de Vigne Candle Massage.
Fleur de Vigne is a massage candle that melts into a warm oil that's delicately scented with grape blossom. The indulgent body treatment lasts for 50 minutes.

8. Spa Verta, Crowne Plaza London

Spa Verta is located far from the busy streets of central London in the Crowne Plaza hotel in Battersea. Battersea is situated in south-west London and not too far from the iconic Battersea Power Station.
Offering a local luxury experience, Spa Verta is the place for couples/friends to get a bit of TLC. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating to your every need.
Love to spa
Spa Verta is ideal for couples that want to spend the day relaxing together. On site is a gorgeous hydropool plus a spa ready to pamper the stress out of you.
While there, be sure to check out the range of spa beauty products on sale from high-end brand ESPA. The therapists use the products in the spa, meaning you can take home a little piece of Spa Verta with you.
Top tip: Go on a weekday. The spa's less busy, and there's a good chance that you'll have the hydropool all to yourself.

I probably would not have associated London with spas if I hadn't come across your post, Lisa. I am pretty certain, however, that most of these must be quite expensive. However, if its Valentine's Day and I want to be pampered, shelling out a little bit extra money is acceptable 😉 I would probably go for the entire package at COMO Metropolitan, London, at £400— even though it sounds pricey. I would also want to visit the Met Bar for their 'Between the sheets' cocktail - I wonder what that one's like haha, and maybe even take the cocktail making class.

The thought of a stranger massaging me actually makes me cringe BUT I would love to relax at the pool/gym at one of these spas and definitely take them up on the prosecco and chocolates offer! Oh these are so many luxurious spa ideas in London. Many of my friends and relatives are staying in London so I will pass on this information to them. Thai Spa looks interesting as after treatment dining option at near Thai restaurant is also there.

Even though London is as luxurious as it an get, I never really thought of it as a Spa place. Then again luxury and Spa are synonymous so i'm not surprised that there are so many amazing opportunities for some rest and relaxation in the British capital. great list and hope to make us of it when i'm there next.

These 5 spa package options in London look wonderful. A package voucher would make the perfect gift for my parents as they have been known to go for a couples spa. For me, I really like the look of the Lovers Afternoon Tea, I know it's for lovers but I would love to take my daughter to enjoy afternoon tea at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

These spas look amazing, the ambiance and the amenities are just superb. Some pampering in the spa after an exhausting day is definitely a must. The London Spa Experience combining treatments with dinner sounds like a great idea. We love gothic architecture so the St Pancras Spa of St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London will definitely top our list.

These spas looks amazing and I can see why they are perfect for Valentine's Day. I didn't know any of these before but they do seem luxurious and perfect to relax. A woman always deserves a bit of pampering from time to time and going to the spa is can be the perfect gift. Definitely a great way to get rid of that everyday stress.

These Spa's look amazing! I could really do with a massage so this article is interesting! I love the look of the hydropool and for between £210-£250 is a fantastic deal! I think the best deal in my opinion is the Ajala Spa Grange Hotel! Not only do you get a great couples deal for only £89 but also strawberries and cream with chocolate and prosecco.. No brainer for me!
