In London Soho is one boutique hotel that easily qualifies for the ‘blink and you might miss it’ category. Dean Street Townhouse London is located in one of the trendiest areas of the capital.
The SoHo area of London has some of the best restaurants and bars, and within close distance of each other.

A short history
Occupying no. 69 and 70 Dean Street, London, carpenter John Meard built the Georgian residences from 1732 to 1735. Famous past residences include King Charles II’s mistress Nell Gwynne, as well as other notable aristocratic families of the time.
The residences then became a center for sculptors, architects and artists to meet and hang out. Given the creative history of its patrons, it was fitting that private members’ club, Soho House, took over in 2008.
The clubs serve as private establishments for people in the creative industries. To date, there are 27 locations across Europe and North America.
Clubs around the world include Soho House Berlin, Barcelona, Chicago and Manhattan. Along with restaurants, most clubs also have their own accommodation, work spaces and spas.
Everybody's welcome
Though part of a private members’ club, non-members are able to book at Soho House establishments and dine at the restaurants.
It’s a great option for business travelers that want to work, while also entertain clients in a unique space. To visit for a drink at any of the bars, it’s advisable to email reservations and book before arriving.

Dean Street Townhouse has 39 bedrooms, with room sizes ranging from tiny to big. The tiny and cozy-sized room come with double/king-sized beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, and rainforest showers.
They also have the ridiculously comfortable Soho House velvet armchairs in every room.
The medium and big-sized rooms, however, is where the luxury factor comes in. With a space of 365 and 460sq ft respectively, these rooms are designed for comfort. They come with king-sized beds, velvet armchairs, and a generous shower room and toilet.
The best feature by far is the freestanding bathtub, which hints to the hotel’s Georgian heritage. Views in these rooms overlook Dean Street or the courtyard round the back.
On entering the room, soft lighting welcomes you, as does the sound of classical music playing on the vintage radio. The décor matches the classic style of the hotel, and reinforces the Soho House ‘home from home’ sentiment.
Also look out for the personal touches in the room. The excellent Cowshed Spa has branches in many Soho House clubs, and there are plenty of products at your disposal.
Organic, award-winning, and containing wild-crafted plant extracts, you'll feel rejuvenated after a long soak in the bathtub.
Delicious dining
Though its London location is close to several top restaurants and eateries, you should try the hotel’s restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, its large velvet armchairs, and curved bar are a welcoming sight.
Brunch here is hearty, delicious and good value. Kick off brunch with one of their excellent Bloody Mary’s, or a healthier smoothie if you’re nursing a hangover.
I chose the ham hock hash and fried duck egg. It comes with a rack of warm toast, which was perfect for soaking up all of the gooey rich yolk.
The cocktails here are worth indulging in too — especially the Lemon balm fizz, which contains my favorite drink, Prosecco.
Something for everyone
For vegetarians and vegans, there are tasty options, such as the heritage beetroot salad and potato dumplings.
Diners on a gluten-free diet are also catered for, with plenty of meat, fish and veggie dishes to choose from.

It's nice that others can enjoy a stay at the hotel and restaurant. Seems like a unique experience. I do love the freestanding bathtub! Brunch there sounds yummy and it's also good that other dining options are nearby for those staying multiple nights.

The townhouse looks very inviting with amazing facilities and amenities as well as that scrumptious looking breakfast. Even though I'm not the kind of traveller to book expensive accommodation options on vacations, this looks like the epic hotel to relax and unwind 🙂

Dean Street Townhouse Soho House looks like a very comfortable and luxurious option. Good that the non members can book as well. Otherwise it would have been really sad that the luxury is confined to just a handful. Very well designed suite

You sold me out when you said Dean Street Townhouse is designed to give a homely feeling. I do much hate to sleep in places that feel strange. My senses will be overly sensitive. And to think their royalty sounding meals aren't as pricey as it sounds adds an additional bonus to this Soho House. Nice review you have here.

Dean Street Townhouse Soho House looks like a royal stay and that too in trendiest location of city. I loved the elegant decor of rooms with red velvety couches and white backgrounds. Also the Georgian style tub in the room gives it a vintage look.

This hotel is just gorgeous - that's why I love boutique hotels. It has gorgeous interiors and the bed looks so comfy. That bath is a dream too. Love how it adds a rustic element to the entire decor!

I've heard of Nell Gwynne, but I didn't realize it was possible to stay in the same place she did! That hotel sounds amazing, especially the free-standing bathtub. I'd really like to try those fancy bath products as well.

I like the freestanding bathtub, it almost feels like it is in the room. I'd be afraid of splashing though LOL. I love how you travel around the world and stay in these amazing hotels, even though I may not be able to afford most of them, I do enjoy looking at the pictures. Such great luxury! Dean Street Townhouse seems to be an amazing boutique hotel in the heart of London.
It's a little pricey, but trust me, the price and service makes up for it. Plus the bathtub is so relaxing, and you can put on the TV and enjoy a glass of wine while bathing!

I'd recommend at least 3 weeks in advance if possible; only because it's a member's club, and so they may have already allocated the rooms. Definitely the freestanding bathtub!
The boutique hotel looks very inviting and I love the high ceilings. The large bathtub and abundance of spa products would make my stay quite enjoyable.
Trust me, the Cowshed goodies are really gorgeous and smell so good too.

Soho has always been a bohemian zone in London so I wouldn't expect the hotel to have any less of such a history. It looks very comfortable for a short stay in the city. I like the Georgian accents too.

I m jelous that you get to stay in all these chick and lucuey hotels all around the world! Although I am very happy with just camping, staying in a place like Dean street downhouse Soho in London would be nice. Especially taste their Bloody Mary because its one of my favorite drink!

What a great place to stay! I have heard a lot of good things about Soho but sadly I never got the chance to explore that area when I was last in London. This is a stylish place and I love how they welcome you with great music and atmospheric lighting! As for freestanding bathtubs - they're the best!

This is such a nice hotel! I especially like when the decoration has something memorable and it is not your standard, pretty-but-boring space. The tub certainly elevates the place and so do the bath products. Would definitely like to stay there one day!
