10 beautiful hotels for a Singapore staycation
Last updated on February 10th, 2026.
A successful staycation can be summed up in 3 words: activities, amenities and absolute (relaxation).
And, when it comes to ideal staycation locations, the island nation of Singapore ticks every box.
Its luxury hotel scene is impressive, especially when you consider the country's small size.
If a stress-free Singapore staycation sounds good, consider spending a few nights at one these 10 top-quality hotels.
Where to enjoy a Singapore staycation
1. The Fullerton Bay Hotel
If tourism accolades and consistent rave reviews are on your hotel checklist, The Fullerton Bay Hotel is for you.
Sleek, glamorous and achingly stylish, the hotel’s waterfront location is just one of its selling points.
The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore sits in the Central Business District and Arts and Cultural Precinct and is close to several attractions.
Marina Bay Sands hotel and shopping center is close by, as is the Promontory, one of Singapore’s best scenic points.
Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore has 100 rooms and suites, complete with 360-degree views of Marina Bay or of the iconic Singapore skyline.
Head to the rooftop pool for an even better, and unfiltered, city view. Swim, lounge or relax, it’s the ideal spot for a chilled-out Singapore staycation, made even better with a signature cocktail.
Spa time
In need of some serious pampering? The hotel’s Fullerton Spa will cater to your every whim. The tropical oasis is probably where I’d spend the majority of my Singapore staycation.
With treatments such as the Asian Heritage Signature package and the Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience, you’ll be in good hands.
Families are also welcome here, with family-friendly facilities and daily ice cream passes for the children.

The stamp of clean approval
To allay any concerns that you may have regarding cleanliness and hygiene, you can rest your head easy here. The Fullerton Bay Hotel carries the coveted SG Clean quality mark.
This certificate, awarded by the Singapore government, recognizes organizations that have committed to upkeeping good sanitation and hygiene practices.

2. The St. Regis Singapore
Enjoy a staycation at a luxury hotel with butler service, European-style rooms and suites and an award-winning spa.
The St. Regis Singapore is situated in a prime location, close to the shopping area of Orchard Road.
Its central address is highlighted by the several nearby attractions. The Botanical Gardens are 1.2km (0.7 miles) away, and Sentosa Island and Clarke Quay is 15 minutes by car. Singapore’s Changi Airport is 23km (14 miles) away.
Within its 4 luxurious walls are 299 rooms and suites, some of which come with views of the Botanical Gardens. The sublime Remède Spa is also on site, complete with a spa garden and sensory lounge.
Butler service and great dining
The talking point at The St. Regis Singapore is its butler service. Enjoy being pampered for a few nights with a tailor-made experience and the spotlight being firmly placed on you.
With 6 dining options within your reach, The St. Regis Singapore brings the world to you on your staycation.
La Brezza brings authentic Italian dishes to your table, and by the poolside nonetheless. The spectacular Brasserie Les Saveurs invites you to dine on the finest French cuisine and in the most lavish setting.
A Singapore staycation wouldn’t be complete without dining on classic Cantonese dishes at Yan Ting. Once you’ve satisfied your appetite, head to Astor Bar for a spot of live jazz music.
Like The Fullerton Bay Hotel, The St. Regis Singapore also carries the SG Clean quality mark.

3. The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore
Put together one Neoclassical and one Venetian Renaissance-style building, add years of restoration and you get The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.
Once known as European Town by Singapore’s early settlers, the hotel’s architectural influences become clear.
Contemporary elegance is the style that runs throughout its 155 rooms and suites. It’s a place where modern luxury meets traditional heritage and a comfortable stay is guaranteed.
Your tastebuds are in for a culinary treat, as there are 11 places to dine inside the hotel. 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung is your foodie adventure around Southeast Asia, while Freida dishes up German and Austrian staples.
I can’t forget to mention the hotel’s saltwater relaxation pool. It’s the spot for winding down after a long day and escaping the noise of the outside world.

A stones' throw away
Convenience is the keyword at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, as many major attractions are within walking distance.
They include the Parliament building, Singapore Art Museum and National Gallery Singapore and the Victoria Theatre.
The iconic Raffles City Shopping Mall and Raffles City Convention Center is just 350m from the property.

4. PARKROYAL Collection Pickering
A dream for fellow wellness enthusiasts, the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering is the stuff that staycations are made of.
The luxury hotel has an entire floor dedicated to help you relax and feel good. Take a swim, or lounge, in the outdoor infinity pool, before drying off and relaxing in a poolside cabana.
A 300m garden walk lets you enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding green while admiring the superb hotel views.
Signature treatments and traditional therapies are waiting at the hotel’s St. Gregory Spa. Let the therapists knead out your knots and work their magic on your skin. The only thing you need to do is lie back and relax.
Eco-friendly luxury
Everything about this garden-concept hotel embraces its eco-friendly ethos. Natural earthy tones and wooden furnishings run throughout the 367 guestrooms and suites.
Room sizes are spacious, with plenty of natural light and come with views of either Chinatown or Hong Lim Park.

5. Labrador Villa
Enjoy a Singapore staycation amidst the backdrop of a spectacular green nature reserve.
Labrador Villa was a former enclave for the British army during colonial rule. Today, the garrison is a luxury boutique hotel with 20 rooms that reflect the building’s history and heritage.
Labrador Park mass rapid transit (MRT) is the closest station to the property at 500m away.
Choose your sarang
There are 4 room types to choose from at Labrador Villa, ranging from Cribs to the opulent Luxe Sarang.
Sarang, meaning ‘nest’ in the Malay language, embellishes every sense of the word, providing a comfortable space inside and out.
Sarangs come with an indoor and outdoor plunge pool, while the Luxe Sarang also comes with a private garden.
All of the rooms at Labrador Villa feature custom-designed furniture, and a king-size bed. You can also expect all the mod cons, including complimentary WiFi and Bluetooth speakers.
Labrador Villa, 20 Labrador Villa Road
6. Amoy by Far East Hospitality
A modern boutique hotel that embraces its Chinese heritage is how I’d describe this charming abode.
There are just 37 rooms at AMOY by Far East Hospitality, lending to a more personal experience and customer service. Rooms are clean, comfortable and come with free WiFi, air conditioning and a minibar.
Located in the Central Business District, the closest MRT station, Raffles Place, is 5 minutes away.
A hidden entrance
Blink, and you might miss it, as you try to locate the hotel’s main entrance. It’s in fact hidden behind the ancient temple gate of the Fuk Tak Chi Museum. Type this into your GPS and save yourself getting lost beforehand.
Satisfy your craving for sushi at the hotel’s on-site restaurant, JIN Fine Dining, where skilled chefs serve up authentic Japanese sushi. AMOY by Far East Hospitality is also SG certified.
AMOY by Far East Hospitality, 76 Telok Ayer Street
7. The Vagabond Club, a tribute portfolio hotel
Singapore meets Paris at the 5-star The Vagabond Club.
An eye-catching Art Deco interior and stylish décor, the design’s the brainchild of French designer Jacques Garcia.
Living up to its boutique name, there are just 41 rooms at this luxury boutique hotel in the Central Heritage District.
Parisian chic dictates the look and feel of the rooms, with luxurious fabrics in bold colors stealing the show. Room types range from the Classic Room right up to the sumptuous Vagabond Executive Club Suite.
Explore a different side of Singapore by visiting nearby local attractions such as Little India and Kampong Gelam.
A different kind of library
Liven up your Singapore staycation with a visit to the hotel’s whiskey library. One thousand rare and unique whiskeys make up the impressive collection at The Vagabond Club.
The library’s where you come to unwind, sample some whiskey and enjoy some of Singapore’s finest live entertainment.
The Vagabond Club, 39 Syed Alwi Road
8. Hotel Fort Canning
A boutique hotel set among splendid greenery, Hotel Fort Canning is your Singapore staycation escape.
A former base for the British army, today, it’s a 5-star boutique hotel with 86 individually-styled rooms and suites.
Hotel Fort Canning is within walking distance of several notable landmarks, one being the Fort Canning Park. It’s one of 3 national parks in Singapore and dates to the 14th century.
The hotel’s a great base for escaping the noise of the urban jungle and zoning out. Its wellness facilities, including a spa and mineral pools, will assist in making your stay a relaxing one.
Where space meets Singapore
There are 2 landscaped swimming pools on site, both of which are filled with a special kind of water.
The mineral water has been treated with the same system that NASA uses to provide its astronauts with drinking water.
Using this system gets rids of the smell, as well as any health problems that arise from swimming in chlorine.
Hotel Fort Canning, 11 Canning Walk
9. The Scarlet Hotel
Colorful, cozy and in Chinatown is how I’d describe The Scarlet Hotel.
Housed in 13 former shophouses and an Art Deco building, this boutique hotel carries plenty of historic charm.
The first luxury boutique hotel in Singapore when it opened in 2004, the property has 80 rooms and suites.
From the Deluxe Room to the Lavish Suite, there’s a room type to suit all budgets. What’s more, you can also personalize your sleep with your very own pillow menu.
In the thick of it
The Chinatown area of Singapore puts you at the heart of the action. Old meets the new in the form of cultural sites and independent hipster cafes.
Food lovers will enjoy being located next to Singapore’s famous hawker centers, a culinary must-try in the city.
Nearby attractions include the Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park and the Asian Civilizations Museum. The Scarlet Singapore is SG Clean certified.
The Scarlet Singapore, 33 Erskine Road
10. Hotel Indigo Katong
With weekly rooftop yoga, a 25m swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center, staycations are made at Hotel Indigo Katong.
Katong was Singapore’s first heritage town, and the neighborhood lends to its historic past. Joo Chiat/Katong is the home of Peranakan culture; Peranakans being people of Chinese and Malay/Indonesian heritage.
To learn more about Peranakan culture, make a visit to nearby The Intan, a private home museum in Joo Chiat.
Colorful shophouses, terraced homes, and a clear European influence makes this an interesting base for a Singapore staycation.

Peranakan through and through
Living up to its boutique brand, the rooms are uniquely styled and bursting with individuality.
Mirroring the Peranakan colors and motifs, Premiere rooms at Hotel Indigo Katong also come with circular bathtubs and city views.
Bright, bold and with plenty of natural light, it’s an ideal choice for a well-needed Singapore staycation.

Singapore hotels are amazing! Expensive too! That's why I have always stayed in generic 3-star chain type of places, which are still pretty good. But I guess the next time I visit I should look a little deeper into some of these boutique hotels you have featured. They all look so pretty!
I can't argue with you there! There are some great 3-star choices that almost seem like 4 star properties too
The one thing that I have realized is that no matter where you stay in Singapore, it is all classy and top notch. Of course, a reassurance on sanitization these days would be the icing on the cake. If I had to pick a stay, it would be The Capitol Kempinski - not only is it luxurious but I love the fact that it is close to a lot of Singapore attractions.
I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to not find a chic spot in Singapore, even the 3-star hotels are decent
Oh wow those photos are stunning. Great choices.
I think so too 🙂
I was on a solo trip to Singapore last August and the pictures here took me back to those seven wonderful days that I spent there. Although I did not get to stay in a hotel as I had put up with my sister-in-law it's nice to get a good insight into the hotels there. They all seem extraordinary and classy.
They're all really delightful choices. Maybe next time you can book in one of these for a night or two.
I love Singapore and I have been there more than 4 times now. I wish I knew about some of these places. I loved the ParkRoyal hotel and Hotel Fort Canning, they both look amazing and very comfortable. The next time I am in Singapore, I will surely look at these options.
Wow you're a Singapore veteran! I'm glad you've got a new list of places to consider 🙂
My sister in law lives in Singapore! We've always wanted to visit but haven't quite gotten around to it yet.
Aw I hope you get to visit them one day soon
This list is impressive. I usually travel on a budget so that I wouldn't stay in such an expensive hotel. But if I could, I would love to spend one night in Villa Samadhi. It's my style. I would like to visit Singapore one day.
It's a classic and very traditional style
Wow, Singapore is such an amazing place! This will be on my bucket list!
That's great to read 🙂
Omg these hotels are seriously amazing!!
They all are!
I've always wanted to go and explore throughout Singapore! My dad has been! These resorts look so awesome and colorful!!!
Aw it's really a lovely location! I hope you get to visit one day 😀
Oh man, I wish I saw your article before we went to Singapore last September! We stayed at Mandarin Oriental, which had a great view but not quite the same level of experience as what you described the St. Regis is! Which one was your favorite?
Aw shame Mick, maybe you can bookmark it if you ever visit again. My favourite is the Villa Samadhi 😀
They all look amazing, but the St. Regis would be my top pick. Must venture to Singapore soon.
It is fabulous especially with that butler service!
Singapore is a dream to me, I would totally love to spend my time there
Consider visiting one day in the future!
Singapore looks like such an interesting and exotic place to visit! I bet the food is wonderful too!
It's incredible and so varied too
The idea of a spa that is family-friendly and serves ice cream is amazing! What a great idea. Especially being that you described it as a tropical oasis! Sign me up! I found the Vagabond Club to be very cool! A whiskey library- I've never heard of such a thing. That would be amazing to check out also. What an interesting read! Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome Kaitlin 🙂 Yes, I'd get in on that free daily pass of ice cream, just ask the kids for some lol!
It looks like there's a lot of lovely hotels in Singapore to check out! I have been wanting to travel there for a while, hopefully I can make it over there soon.
I hope so too, there are some really lovely hotels to choose from 🙂
I've been to Singapore but we stayed in an Airbnb. I might try to do a staycation with luxury feel next time.
Give it a try, we only live once 😉
I stayed at a hotel only a few years ago in Singapore and it was nice but I have to say that the hotels on your list look fabulous and I cannot wait to visit Singapore again soon.
I hope you get to return one day and try out one of these 🙂
Singapore is really very fascinating and amazing to visit and explore..Thanks for sharing this review indeed this is very helpful and useful..Great work..
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
Oh they sound like wonderful places to stay at!! I'd love to stay at one of them!
Bookmark it for a future trip 🙂
Staying at the The St. Regis Singapore must be special indeed, I had a butler before in Mexico and it was such a unique experience. I would love to stay at the Villa Samadhi as well, it looks so different than the other modern hotels.
I agree, I also like that colonial style of days gone by
These hotels are freaking amazing and some of them are so colourful! They look decadent and if I could I would book a flight and a stay at anyone of them right now.
Aw they're really great choices for hotels, I hope you get to visit one day!

You and me both Sue!
This is such a lovely country, I would love to visit someday. It's hard to choose a hotel as they all sound great.
Singapore is stunning! And the choice of hotels is fabulous too.
Any one of these places would be a welcome change from my current staycation situation. I can't wait to leave my 10-mile radius again.
Aw I hear you, stay safe till it's safe to venture out further x
Wow.... Singapore is for sure on my list of aces to visit as they have such amazing architecture in their newer buildings. I would for sure love to stay at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering hotel as it is sooooo cool looking.... but honestly all of these suggestions look great.
That's definitely one of my favourites, it's a great choice in Singapore.
I would love to visit Singapore one day. And staying in any of these hotels would be a dream

It is! I hope you get to visit one day
We loved our visit to Singapore. We stayed in a more family hotel because we were travelling with our son. But I must admit there are several hotels on your list that I would love to try. A rooftop view with a cocktail in hand is indeed my idea of a staycation treat! Even better when the hotel restaurants are so good you don’t ever want to leave the hotel! I will be saving this post for our next stop for sure.
Thanks Linda, a cocktail on the rooftop is always a must!
Hotel Indigo Katong sounds amazing. I love swimming so that would be the place for me!
It's a fabulous hotel to relax!
Oh wow, all of these places look incredible! I'd be happy to stay at any of these areas.
They're all beautiful choices in Singapore 🙂

Bookmark it for when we can safely travel again 🙂
Bookmarked. Thank you. Can’t wait for an opportunity to travel to Singapore
You're welcome! I hope you do visit once it's possible again
Loads of wonderful hotels to stay there. I think I'd love to stay at The St. Regis Singapore. The jazz music and pool are tempting me as is the butler service.
Doesn't that sound heavenly?! What I wouldn't give to be there right now
I used to live in Singapore so can say that Fullerton Bay Hotel rocks! I also had a staycation at Fort Canning Hotel which was a really lovely experience.
Amazing Talya! I love the Fullerton Bay Hotel, it's so pretty
I look forward to being able to get out and travel again. It looks like you have spotted some great places to stay in sinapore that make me want to visit.
There are some top hotels to choose from, and they're family friendly too 🙂
This makes me miss Singapore! I used to live in Australia and transited through SNG quite often, and would always try to stay a few days 🙂
Aw, I understand! It's such a great destination and with some gorgeous places to stay 🙂
