My love of boutique hotels is no secret.
It's an integral part of my travel experience and is more than just a place to stay. So, when I was asked to review 3 beautiful boutique hotels in Jerusalem, it took me less than a millisecond to say yes.
3 beautiful boutique hotels in Jerusalem
Bezalel Hotel
Bezalel Hotel is located in a quiet residential street, yet within close walking distance of nearby attractions. Mahane Yehuda market is approximately 10 minutes by foot, while buzzing Agripas Street is only 3 minutes away.
The second you enter the reception area, you immediately see the individual style you don’t find in larger chains.
There’s a familiarity and personal touch about the place, which is something I frequently find when staying at a boutique hotel.
Like many good boutique hotels, Bezalel Hotel offers elegant accommodation at reasonable prices. There are 36 classic rooms in the hotel — all rooms come with either a classic terrace, or a classic balcony.
I’ve seen them both and the classic terrace is by far my favorite. As well as the comfortable surroundings of the room, you can also enjoy far-reaching views of Jerusalem.
Bezalel Hotel only have 3 terrace rooms available, so if you like it, book one before they're gone.
Israeli style
What’s also clear about Bezalel is that the style, art and ornaments all reflect Israeli culture and design. As you can see from the photos, even the lighting is adorned with the colors of the Israeli flag.
The dining room is where breakfast, and more important, happy hour takes place (4-7pm). One of the best boutique hotels in Jerusalem, guests can enjoy the complimentary wine, drinks and nibbles on offer.

Harmony Hotel
If you’re looking for an incredibly chic rest stop in the center of Jerusalem, you’ve found it. Harmony Hotel is within walking distance of the Old City, tourist sights and the superb Mamilla Mall.
Its prime location makes Harmony Hotel one of the best boutique hotels in Jerusalem.
It’s a firm favorite with travelers to the city, and I totally get it. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by a chic, clean and simply elegant decor. The lobby/lounge area is stylish enough to admire, but not stiff and museum-like that you can’t relax.
Harmony Hotel is exactly as the name suggests: its tranquil environment is a welcome from the buzzing activity outside its double doors.
The sleek decor extends to the bedroom and bathroom. It’s individual in design, and just the type of place you want to come back to after a long day.
Harmony Hotel also offers its guests a complimentary happy hour every day. Other perks for guests include free use of the PC and internet in the lobby, and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Hotel Malka
Hotel Malka is the baby of the 3 hotels. At the time of visiting, it had only been open for 3 weeks, but occupancy was already full, with weekend bookings especially popular.
Despite its status as a relatively new player in the market, the hotel has received impressive guest reviews on major booking websites.
On visiting, you can understand the buzz behind it. Its location off Jaffa Street, is in a quiet, yet nice neighborhood, making it easily accessible to guests.
The entrance to Hotel Malka is unmissable: just follow the empty beer barrels turned plant pots outside.
Upon entering, it’s modern, yet with a rustic feel. Yoram, the hotel’s owner and manager, explained the reason behind this.
The building’s 130 years old, and was once a shop for Russian pilgrims and long before that, an ice cream store.
It was a 4-year project to fully re-construct the building, along with the original stones and the structure of the roof.
Yoram’s so proud of the history and building efforts that went into Hotel Malka. Around the hotel, you can see photos of the before and after for guests to admire.
There are 22 rooms in total and include, double, deluxe and twin rooms. Bedrooms are elegant, personal and rustic in style, particularly with the original stone features.
Breakfast isn’t included in the price, but there’s an option to request it if desired.

Hotel Malka looks like a pretty good boutique hotel that I would say in. It's a must that I visit Jerusalem mainly because my son name is Israel.

I really love all three hotels but especially love the baby of the group with the last one on your list being my favorite of all. The all important aspect of accommodation is a great help from your post and Bezalel Hotel seems the perfect place. The art work in the photos look amazing and overall looks like a very comfy hotel. Jerusalem is on my list of cities to visit and this post is helpful in planning. I don’t want to spend too much on accommodation and these boutique hotels are the perfect answer. They are all clean chic and all you need for a few days stay. My favourite send to be Bezalel without a doubt. Bezalel is still quite new, so I really urge you to book there. It's also in a great central location, and near the old city.

Oh wow, I absolutely love the Hotel Malka as it truly looks different. These types of hotels are so much better than the impersonal chain hotels. When I visited I stayed at the American hotel which is one of the leading small hotels of the world and also felt quite boutique. Whilst the rooms were not particularly notable, the courtyard swimming pool, gym and cellar bar were exceptional and it was also in a great location.
That sounds like a lovely choice. I didn't see it when I was in Jerusalem, but will check it out should I return one day.
This is a good post with recommendations for when you travel by yourself to the Middle East. This region has experienced permanent turmoil so knowing where to go and stay is part of a good plan. Harmony Hotel is my favorite so far. Let's see when I will travel there.

Interesting list you got here Lisa. Of the three hotels I like the rustic vibes of the Malka Hotel. And being a 130 year old building it will definitely be amazing to stay here. The Harmony Hotel sounds perfect considering its in prime location.
Many people love the look of Malka! It's very rustic, and they did so well turning the building into something modern yet traditional too.

i'm loving the rustic feel to Hotel Malka, very quirky too with the beer barrels turned into plant pots and it has it's own piece of history to it that just adds to it's alluring charm. I'd definitely try to spend at least one night here if I'm ever to visit Jerusalem 🙂

I need to say that I didn't thought that Jerusalem is so modern now, my picture of Jerusalem is always one big old place, but this changed my picture about it a lot! And I like the reviews about hotels, I have more confidence when I'm searching for them!

I absolutely loved the green walls in Harmony Hotel! Though, I think my favorite is the first one, Bezalel Hotel. I absolutely love the ornamental design on the floor and walls. It's so cool that they really highlight their culture in the design & art, rather than keeping everything simple and white.

Absolutely love all the hotels listed. I'm more of a boutique hotel gal. And these would work perfect for me. My favorite is definitely Malka hotel. I love a bit of quietness when I'm on holiday.

These is a good list of boutique hotels. I personally liked the Malka hotel because of its quiet location and interior. I loved hotels which are located off the main street as it provides the required peace. Will save this post for my visit to Jerusalem.

There are 3 very considerable boutique hotel options in Jerusalem here. I would choose Hotel Malka as I love brand new hotels. The location off Jaffa Street sounds perfect, and with 4 years of reconstruction, they must have paid so much attention to detail.

Hotel Malka would definitely be my pick just from the looks. Especially the raw stone looks inside and outside are beautiful. All seem pretty spacious and comfortable inside, they can't be cheap.

Jerusalem is on my list ever since I visited the neighboring country Jordan. I prefer boutique hotels to regular ones. Harmony hotel appeals the most to me perhaps due to the pastel color theme they have used in the interiors.
