10 best hotels near Venice Airport

Last updated on January 5th, 2026.

Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is probably one of the easiest-to-reach airports in Italy.

Connected by train, bus, boat and taxi, making your flight on time shouldn’t be an issue.

But having an early morning, or late evening, flight could be another matter. And rather than risk being stranded or having to wait for a taxi, there is another solution.

In this post, I’ll be listing 10 of the best hotels near Venice Airport to book.

Ranked by location and price, you can use this guide to help plan your Venice Italy trip.

Why visit Venice?

A popular destination for any Italy bucket list, Venice is one of the best places to visit in Italy

The island city is the ideal location in which you can get lost in its streets without really getting lost. Every nook and tight corner eventually lead to a Venice attraction or landmark.

Surrounding the city are other islands on which you can experience another side of Venice. Murano, Burano, Torcello and Lido di Venezia are a few to name, not forgetting nearby places that make ideal Venice day trips

In short, Venice ranks highly on many travelers’ lists and for very good reason.

How to get to Venice Airport

Venice Marco Polo Airport is a short distance from Piazzale Rome; the starting point for many Venice Italy vacations.

The journey takes around 15 minutes by car and approximately 23 minutes by bus. Santa Lucia train station is also nearby as are the bus and coach terminals.

Piazzale Roma is where you can also buy tickets for the many vaporetto (water buses) that pass through. My guide on how to use the vaporetto in Venice Italy covers this topic in more detail.

Several different ways to get from VCE Airport to Piazzale Rome (Venice) include:
