‘Jump in the golf cart and we’ll take you to your tent.’
It wasn’t quite what we were expecting to hear on our first try at glamping in Sicily. But after greeting our hosts at IUTA Glamping & Farm we did as we were told and hopped onboard.
For our first experience of a Sicily glamping site, we were instantly drawn to the unusual mode of transportation.
One of the best places to go glamping in Sicily, IUTA Glamping & Farm is Italy bucket list material.
Booking.comWhat is glamping?
If you’re unfamiliar with the term ‘glamping’, it basically translates to glamorous camping.
It means being able to fully enjoy the outdoors and return to camp-style accommodation — just with all the mod cons.
And, when planning a trip to Italy, IUTA Glamping & Farm guarantees a unique glamping experience in Noto, Sicily.
Like many glamping sites, IUTA is eco-friendly and is passionate about promoting sustainable tourism. Examples of this includes preparing meat-free meals and working with companies that share its ethos.
Glamping in Sicily was a different experience compared to our stay at the sublime Caravanserai Luxury Desert Camp in Morocco.
Though two different countries and cultures, both glamping sites shared similar values of respecting the surrounding nature.
Glamping in Sicily at IUTA Glamping & Farm
IUTA (pronounced yoo-ta) Glamping & Farm is run by Italian couple Elena and Giulio.
It’s hard to not to be immediately drawn to the both of them. Elena, vivacious, warm and engaging, matches Giulio’s kind and hospitable nature.
Their love of the outdoors, for nature and for the land is clear.
Staying at IUTA Glamping & Farm almost feels like you’re living in Sicily. The territory is inviting, the hosts are charming and you instantly feel like you’re at home.

Each luxury lodge measures 30sqm giving more than enough space for your belongings inside. As mentioned at the beginning, guests can get around IUTA Glamping & Farm by golf cart (for the lodges).
It’s a big help for getting some cool respite from the Sicilian sun.
As we pulled up in the golf cart, we were instantly impressed by the outdoor veranda.
Two wooden cushioned deck chairs make an ideal spot for reading and relaxing. A rustic outdoors table and chair set add the finishing touches.
The bedroom — Sicily glamping
Wake up each morning to the sound of birdsong chirping away in the fields outside.
Staying at IUTA Glamping & Farm allows you to be close to nature, just from the comfort of your bed. I challenge you to feel anything but rejuvenated and relaxed after one night here.

If I’d to re-do our bathroom, I’d base its design on the one at IUTA Glamping and Farm. Sleek, minimal yet functional, it has everything you need to accommodate your stay.
Two well-sized double sinks give each guest plenty of space while also reducing the risk of any potential arguments. Toiletries are provided courtesy of Zenology.

The historic center has plenty of things to do see and do. Noto is known for its jaw-dropping cathedral, decorated stone balconies and famous Sicilian baroque architecture. It also happens to be one of the most beautiful places in Sicily to visit.
Come May, the annual flower festival comes to town, attracting droves of locals and tourists alike.
The Infiorata di Noto brings in prominent artists, who line the street of Via Corrado Nicolaci with a colorful floral display.

Noto really comes to life in late spring (late April, early May) and can be a good time to visit Sicily.
The weather begins to get warmer and you’ll see an abundance of produce growing everywhere.
Summer in Sicily (July/August) can be unbearably hot and is much busier too. However, it’s still a beautiful time to visit and IUTA Glamping & Farm provides a tranquil hideaway during the busy period.
